SAN DIEGO — A never-before-seen book by Ted Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss, will be released next summer, after an original manuscript and cover sketch were found in the archives of UC San Diego’s Geisel Library.
Random House Children’s Books, the publisher of the new book, ‘Sing the 50 United States!’ announced on Monday. The book, filled with Seuss’ playful rhymes and rhythm, teaches readers to learn and name all 50 states and features the iconic Cat in the Hat and two Little Cat helpers.
“To sing the 50 United States, you have to use your brain. Massachusetts. Minnesota. Missouri and Montana. M-i-s-s-Mississippi. Maryland! Michigan and Maine!” Random House Children's Books said in a release .
