Shillong, Oct 29: The state government has approved the regularization of over 283 special educators in Meghalaya.
The decision was taken by the state Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma today.
Addressing media persons after the meeting, Cabinet Minister and MDA government spokesperson Wailadmiki Shylla said, “The cabinet has approved regularization of special educators and similar professionals as mandated in the Supreme Court’s order.”
He added that currently, 283 special educators are working on a contractual basis, and the cabinet’s approval paves the way for their regularization.
