(BCN) -- Two suspects have been arrested and charged in relation to a shooting in Berkeley earlier this month, police said Tuesday.
On Oct. 12 at 6:19 p.m., officers responded to gunfire reported in the 1000 block of Addison Street. Investigators believed that the shooting may have sprung from an altercation between people on the street, the department said.
The suspects' vehicle was allegedly identified through license plate readers as a Honda SUV registered to Lanika Connors, 41.
Investigators used surveillance footage and interviews with witnesses to identify the shooting suspect as Ernest Portlock, 44. Police allege Portlock fired a handgun into a residence in the 1000 block of Addison then ran from the scene, jumping into Connors' SUV as the pair sped off.
