GARLAND COUNTY, Ark. — The Garland County Sheriff's Office confirmed that a woman died after a fallen tree fell on a residence in the 400 block of Majestic Lodge Road.

According to reports, a caller contacted the Garland County Communications Center to request emergency response due to a fallen tree.

Upon arrival, officials discovered a tree had fallen through the roof of the caller’s house and subsequently pinned the caller’s wife to the bed. The 37-year-old victim, identified as Shannon Hobby, was found lying on her bed underneath the fallen tree.

Emergency medical services and fire department personnel responded to the scene; however, the victim was pronounced deceased.
