The sports trading card boom in the UK shows no sign of slowing and live-shopping platform Whatnot is playing a huge role.

The app is now valued at $11billion after a new $225million funding round.

And one man who can vouch for the success of Whatnot is Adam Whittaker.

Once a manager in a pharmacy, he's now affectionately known as The Yorkshire Collector , bringing joy to a community of trading card fanatics.

During COVID, many who collected both sports cards and trading cards, like Pokemon revisited their childhood passion and got hooked once again.

And Whittaker swiftly went from buying packs and cards online to selling, first on Instagram and then, in December 2022, Whatnot hit the scene.
