STURGEON BAY, Wis. (WFRV) — Door County Candle Co. & Candle Bar, known for creating candles to support humanitarian causes, has launched its latest — the Jamaican Relief Candle — in response to Hurricane Melissa’s devastation across Jamaica.

The Sturgeon Bay-based company gained national attention for its Ukrainian Candle, which raised more than $1.6 million to help those impacted by the war between Ukraine and Russia. The business has since created other relief candles, including one for Texas flood victims earlier this year.

With 100% of proceeds from the Jamaican Relief Candle going toward recovery and rebuilding efforts, the company continues its mission to “send love, warmth, and tangible help” to affected communities.
