After acquiring defensive end Keion White in a blockbuster trade with the New England Patriots, the San Francisco 49ers continued to add to the defensive line with the signing of former No. 4 overall pick Clelin Ferrell.

Per NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the 49ers signed Clelin Ferrell to their practice squad after working out the Clemson product. Ferrell, who was drafted fourth overall by the Raiders in 2019, spent the 2023 season with the 49ers.

Ferrell appeared in one game for the Los Angeles Chargers this season before getting released two weeks ago. The Clemson product, who helped the Tigers to national championship victories in 2016 and 2019, spent the 2024 campaign with the Washington Commanders.
