A Connecticut woman has been charged with murder after allegedly shooting a man in the chest as he watched a movie with a child.

State police troopers responded to a home in Killingly around 9:30 p.m. Monday night and found a 39-year-old gunshot victim. He was transported to Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam where he was pronounced dead.

He was identified as Andrew Michael Olson, of Canterbury.

A 12-year-old child who witnessed the incident told investigators that he watching “Toy Story” with Olson when Michelle F. Yeagher, 65, of Killingly, came into the room and shot Olson. Yeagher was still at the residence when troopers arrived and was detained.

Police said she appeared to be intoxicated and couldn’t tell them where the gun was.
