NORFOLK — A man who police said was shot near a middle school in the Tanner’s Creek neighborhood early Wednesday morning has died from his injuries.
Officers were dispatched at around 1 a.m. to a residence near the 1400 block of East Tanners Creek Road on a report of gunshots. That address is less than a half mile from Rosemont Middle School.
Arriving officers found 26-year-old Malcolm W. Moore of Virginia Beach with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a hospital where he later died from his injuries, according to the Norfolk Police Department.
Police are investigating the killing as a homicide.
