Agartala, 29 th October 2025: Tripura’s former Chief Minister and Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb launched a sharp attack on the Communist leadership, accusing them of displaying a “cheap mentality” over recent political controversies in the state.

Responding to media queries, Deb criticised former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar for his remarks allegedly defending content creator Madhavi Biswas, who had used abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders. Deb said, “We do not expect unconstitutional statements from someone like Manik Sarkar. If any BJP worker were to use such language against him, I would take legal action. His comments supporting Biswas reflect their degraded mindset.”
