KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - Kearney Public Schools announced Jacob (Jake) Redman has been named the Head Softball Coach at Kearney High School beginning with the 2026 season.

After more than a decade of coaching both high school and American Legion baseball in Kearney and Grand Island, Redman joined the softball coaching staff in the fall of 2023 and has served as the junior varsity coach for the past three seasons.

“I am honored and excited to lead the Kearney High School softball team,” said Redman. “We have a talented and hardworking group of athletes, and I look forward to building on our strong tradition while helping our players grow and represent Kearney High School with pride both on and off the field.”
