A Prestwick bookie shop boss hopes service with a smile can crown her best of British.
Tracey Mooney, who heads the William Hill outlet in the town's Main Street, is bidding to land the Racing Post/SIS Betting Shop Manager of the Year title.
Popular Tracey - a former florist - has been plucked from thousands to make the final shortlist of eight after being nominated by colleagues.
She is the only Scot heading for the glittering showdown in London next week and now hopes to put her shop on the map with a landmark win.
Tracey, 55, told the Ayrshire Post: "I'm honoured just to be nominated.
"I'm not one for putting myself forward so to get this far is a big deal.
"It's a very prestigious competition within our industry. Winning would be huge for the shop
