OXFORD, Miss. (WMC) - The U.S. government is appealing a Federal Magistrate Judge’s decision to release Lindsey Whiteside and revoke her bond conditions.
Federal prosecutors filed a motion Wednesday requesting the District Court to review and revoke Whiteside’s release order, putting Whiteside behind bars until her trial.
Whiteside was indicted on two counts of transportation of a minor across state lines for illicit sexual purposes and one count of enticement of a child. She previously pleaded guilty to s tate charges of Sexual Battery of a Minor by a Person in a Position of Trust or Authority and is a registered sex offender, currently on house arrest with an ankle monitor.
