With Halloween right around the corner, hopeful trick-or-treaters in Western North Carolina are waiting for the clouds to clear amidst a rainy week.
The National Weather Service issued a weather alert for the western region of the state on Wednesday morning, Oct. 29, warning of heavy rain that could cause flash flooding. Heavy winds are also expected in portions of Western North Carolina. On Wednesday and Thursday, the chance of rain ranges from 30-90%, with temperatures over the course of two days ranging from a high of 55 degrees to a low of 38 degrees.
