Former WWE star Eric Arndt (fka Enzo Amore) made it public that he reached out to AEW, but the company was not interested in him. Arndt is currently known as “Real1,” a moniker he uses for his rap music career and on the independent circuit.

In July 2025, he made his debut for TNA at Slammiversary, scoring the victory for his team in a Six-Man Tag Team contest. He currently holds the 4th Rope Flyweight Championship and the ACW National Championship.

Speaking on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast, Real1 disclosed that he had reached out to AEW, hoping to be part of the promotion. However, he stated that Tony Khan’s promotion was not interested in recruiting him.
