CHARLOTTE — The Panthers got one of their quarterbacks back on the practice field on Wednesday, which is a good sign.
But another name popped up on the injury report that complicates things.
Bryce Young was a full participant on Wednesday, after missing last week's loss to the Bills with an ankle injury.
But backup Andy Dalton , the only other quarterback on the active roster, did not participate with a right thumb injury.
Panthers head coach Dave Canales said Young "really wants to" play Sunday against the Packers, but they want to make smart long-term decisions. Wednesday's practice was a shorter one, and Canales said they were mindful of the physical demands.
