Rita Simons' final scenes in Hollyoaks have been broadcast after a 19-month stint portraying Marie Fielding.

Viewers saw Marie and her son Arlo Fielding (played by Dan Hough) depart the village and relocate to Brookside Close during Wednesday's (October 29) episode of the Channel 4 soap.

During the 30th anniversary episodes of Hollyoaks, amidst chaos, Tony Hutchinson (portrayed by Nick Pickard) discovered that Marie had been pretending to be pregnant, leading her to confess to her friend, Diane Hutchinson (Alex Fletcher), this week.

At the start of the latest E4 episode, a distressed Marie admitted to her son Arlo that she had faked her pregnancy, but then falsely told him that Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin) had agreed to give them her newborn baby.
