DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — THE KILLER OF A BELOVED FORT GREENE PHILANTHROPIST HAS BEEN SENTENCED TO 32 and a half years to life in prison for stabbing and arson.

Dondre Richardson, 38, who was staying at a Manhattan homeless shelter at the time of the Jan. 20, 2020, attack, was inside the Adelphi St. townhouse of his victim, Lamont Antonio Litman, an acquaintance, when Richardson stabbed Litman 22 times about his body, killing him. He then set fire to the townhouse before fleeing. Firefighters found the victim’s body while responding to the blaze.

Richardson was convicted on June 24 of second-degree murder and third-degree arson, and sentenced on Wednesday, Oct. 29, with Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Donald Leo presiding.
