Severe cyclonic storm Montha has gradually weakened and is no longer expected to affect Odisha. The storm has transformed into a Deep Depression, with its current centre over the coasts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, official sources said on Wednesday.

While Odisha remains largely unaffected by the cyclone, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar has forecast light to moderate rainfall across parts of the State over the next two days.
The weather system is moving north-northwest at a speed of 15 kilometres per hour and is situated approximately 130 kilometres south-southwest of Malkangiri.
