U.S. Rep Andy Ogles has called for a third presidential terms for President Donald Trump, despite the 22nd Amendment.
Ogles previously proposed a resolution to revise the amendment, calling the change "imperative."
Ogles is facing a primary challenge and fundraising difficulties ahead of his 2026 re-election campaign.
U.S. Rep. Andy Ogles, R-Columbia, has once again called for a third Donald Trump presidency , despite the 22nd Amendment limiting the presidency to two terms.
"TRUMP 2028," he posted on X on Oct. 28, a day after posting “Give Trump a third term!”
Trump, however, acknowledges the law prohibits it.
"I would say that if you read it, it’s pretty clear, I’m not allowed to run," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on Oct. 29 as he was traveling overseas, USA TODAY
