An Oakland County elected leader wants a criminal probe into a contract debacle , where a county employee's company received a six-figure public deal.
Commissioner Michael Spisz, the top Republican on the Oakland County Board of Commissioners, filed a report Wednesday, Oct. 29 with the office of Sheriff Mike Bouchard.
He said he noted in the criminal complaint that a private law firm hired by the county to investigate circumstances surrounding the contract determined there was a violation of law. While key officials in the office of Oakland County Executive Dave Coulter , a Democrat, recently said during a recent commission committee meeting they did not feel a criminal referral was necessary, Spisz disagreed.
