President Donald Trump’s special Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, has been spending so much time in Israel that he seems to have a favorite Tel Aviv restaurant. He and Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who also helped broker the ceasefire that took effect on Oct. 10 between Israel and Hamas, were spotted twice in two weeks at Pereh, which is one of my family’s favorite restaurants too. One of my daughters saw Witkoff leaving Pereh this month with a contingent of bodyguards. The restaurant’s owner said the group ordered the entire menu.
