Zach Hyman’s timeline to return from injury has been pushed back by the Edmonton Oilers.
Initially, it was expected that Hyman would be able to return for a Nov. 1 game against the Chicago Blackhawks, but that will not be the case. Following practice on Wednesday morning, head coach Kris Knoblauch met with the media, where he gave an updated timeline for the 33-year-old to return to action.
Instead of Nov. 1, Knoblauch confirmed that Hyman will be out for at least another week.
“He looks ready to go, I want to put him in,” Knoblauch said. “Our medical staff is holding him back… He’ll still be week-to-week. We said it was bare minimum Nov. 1, and it won’t be Nov. 1. It’ll be at least a week after that.
