A Douro-Dummer woman found guilty of permitting animals to be in distress and failing to provide adequate and appropriate medical attention to animals will not spend any time in jail following a sentencing handed down Wednesday afternoon.
Katelyn Lidkea, the owner of 4 Lucky Paws Rescue, will instead have to pay $40,000 in fines over two years, will be subject to an order prohibiting her from owning or being in the care of animals (with an exception made for up to four animals) and will serve a two-year probation period, following Justice of the Peace Mark Donohue’s ruling.
