Heavily-armed Niagara Regional Police emergency task unit members tried to coax a person out of a home on the east side of Port Colborne for more than five hours Wednesday morning.
Using a bullhorn, officers repeatedly told a person inside 173 Mitchell St. the individual was under arrest and to come outside with their hands up. Police later switched to using the person’s first and then full name — Brady Neff.
Police later issued an alert with his photo, saying Neff, whose whereabouts is currently unknown, is considered armed and dangerous.
They also posted on their X account they were investigating in the downtown area of King Street between Delhi and Charlotte streets, in relation to the morning incident.
