ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

A large plume of black smoke and flames could be seen at the AA Events and Tents building near Downtown Albuquerque in the northwest.

Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to the fire and declared the fire under control later on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 29. The smoke and flames could also be seen near Interstate 40 and Fourth Street, at Arvada Avenue NW.

Two people were injured and transported to a hospital, according to AFR. Crews were mopping up efforts to fully control the flames outside the structure on Wednesday evening.

Second Street at Arvada was closed as fire crews continue to work the warehouse fire.

Several fire trucks were swapped out with fresh crews to continue mopping up efforts and fully extinguish the fire.
