PADUCAH, Ky. (KFVS) - A Paducah woman could spend more than two decades in prison for fentanyl trafficking.
That’s according to the Paducah Police Department.
Police say Sheila Shumpert recently pled guilty to six different cases in McCracken County for trafficking in a controlled substance (fentanyl) stemming from multiple investigations conducted in 2022 and 2024.
Shumpert was involved in a 2022 case in which more than 8,000 fentanyl pills were seized. She was also involved in a 2024 case where around 3,500 fentanyl pills were taken in.
She received a 25-year prison sentence and must serve at least half of that time before being eligible for release.
