FARGO — With the goal of inspiring more people to seek out leadership roles in the community, the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo Chamber is launching a first-of-its-kind initiative, officials announced Wednesday, Oct. 29.

It’s called the Center for Civic Engagement.

The center is a nonpartisan resource for civic education and leadership development.

The program includes an employer toolkit to help businesses make policies that support civic participation, such as helping employees run for office or hosting educational sessions on voting.

It will also be a tool for individuals who want to run for office by providing a mentorship network.
