MASSAPEQUA, Long Island (WABC) -- A man says a home health aide stabbed his mother and then got into a car and tried to ram it into the victim's house in Massapequa.

The alleged suspect's car was still parked on the front lawn of the victim's home at the intersection of Bay Drive and Merrick Road on Wednesday evening.

Kery Kilgannon tells Eyewitness News that home security footage from the home captured the moment his 85-year-old mother, Wendy Wilson, was stabbed by her overnight caregiver while she was asleep.

He says video shows the caregiver climbing into bed with Wilson before leaving the house.

Kilgannon says what happened next is a little unclear, but he says outside security footage appears to show the aide trying to hit the house with her car before fleeing.
