CINCINNATI, Ohio — Bengals coach Zac Taylor told reporters in his Wednesday press conference that quarterback Joe Flacco’s status for Sunday’s game vs. the Bears remains uncertain, giving it “probably at a 50-50 on what will end up on Sunday.”
Flacco will not practice on Wednesday. If Flacco can’t play vs. the Bears, Jake Browning will get the start.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported earlier on Wednesday that Flacco suffered an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder during Sunday’s 39-38 loss at home to the Jets. Flacco went to the locker room in the fourth quarter but returned for the final drive, in which he went 1-for-4, and the Bengals turned it over on downs with a chance to win.
