A 12-year-old Bronx girl was so viciously attacked by her mom’s ex that she needed surgery to remove “an unknown sharp object from her brain,” prosecutors revealed Wednesday.
Joshua Burnside, 28, allegedly used a crochet needle, a spoon, a fork, a plate and tongs to attack the youngster during the gruesome Oct. 22 assault — including ramming a “tool” into the girl’s nose so violently that she suffered injuries to both eyes, according to a criminal complaint.
The shocking new details emerged as Bronx prosecutors arraigned Burnside on upgraded attempted murder charges in the attack that also left the injured girl’s mom, model Karizma Dabney, with multiple stab wounds to her head and stomach, the DA’s office said.
