NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio (WOIO) - An attorney representing North Royalton officers is demanding answers, alleging that a North Royalton police report was altered to remove felony charges against an Orange Village deputy chief arrested for suspected OVI.
The incident stems from Oct. 11, when a North Royalton police officer pulled over a car for suspected OVI. The driver was Deputy Chief Patrick O’Callahan from Orange Village.
According to filings in Parma Municipal Court, O’Callahan was driving 55 mph in a 35 mph zone and swerving over the center line. Body camera footage shows O’Callahan flashing his credentials to the officer and slurring his words before refusing to take a breathalyzer or do field sobriety tests.
