BIRMINGHAM — After a season away, Montgomery Catholic volleyball returned to the state finals .

This time in Class 5A, the Knights fell to Guntersville 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-17) on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at Bill Harris Arena in Birmingham. The loss comes a year after the Knights fell in the semifinals following back-to-back Class 4A state titles in 2022 and 2023.
