Sacred Heart field hockey defeated Christian Academy 3-1 on Wednesday night to win its fifth state championship in the last 10 years.
The Valkyries (28-0-1), who are ranked fifth nationally, won their first state title since 2021.
Sacred Heart, which received two goals from Anna Kosek, became the first program in KHSAA field hockey history to go undefeated and win a state championship.
The Centurions (15-9-2) received their goal from sophomore Amelia Ohr.
