You know Halloween has arrived in Vancouver when Science World is lit up like a Jack-o-Lantern.

For this year’s spooky season, the science museum has prepared ‘Bat Week’ and will host an adult-only event on Thursday.

The ‘After Dark: Bloody Science — Halloween Edition’ event allows guests to enjoy the iconic dome “with a bewitching bevvy”.

Spokesperson Larrissa Dundon says guests can sip spooky cocktails while wandering through the dome’s exhibits.

“There is going to be a sword swallower who is going to do some really fun shows on centre stage for people,” she told 1130 NewsRadio.

“You can learn about vampire science, some of the folklore. There will be an opportunity to do some bloody science, learning with the SFU criminology team and the Vancouver Police Museum.”
