Coach Matt McMahon never has led an LSU team with this many new players.

Even in his first year, when he accepted the job without any player committed to returning, he had five players come back from the previous season. The fourth-year coach only has two returners this year: Robert Miller and Jalen Reed.

Figuring out how to distribute playing time will be one of the focuses early in the season. In the team's only exhibition at Central Florida, where it won 75-68 on Sunday, the team played nine players.

McMahon would like to eventually land on an eight-man rotation, but he said Wednesday that isn't something he's fully set on.
