EDMONTON - Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch said forward Zach Hyman will need at least another week before returning to the lineup.
Hyman, a key part of the team’s offensive attack, skated with the club and said he’s feeling great and ready to return to action.
“He looks ready, I want to put him in,” Knoblauch told a post-skate media scrum on Wednesday. “The medical staff is holding him back.”
Hyman, who fit in ideally alongside Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, has been out with a wrist injury that he suffered in Game 4 of the Western Conference final against Dallas on May 27.
“We said it was, bare minimum, Nov. 1, and it won’t be Nov. 1,” Knoblauch said. “It will be at least a week after that.”
