The No. 1-ranked Boilermakers probably got more of a test early than many thought against Division II Indianapolis , but move forward to the regular season off a 92-49 victory over the Greyhounds at Mackey Arena on Thursday.
Purdue basketball turning point
The Greyhounds closed to within 10 late in the first half. Gicarri Harris scored eight straight points in the final 1:36 to give Purdue a 46-28 lead.
The second half was all Boilermakers, who went on a 16-1 run over a five-and-a-half minute span to go up 71-37.
