SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Beach football team is on the verge of making the playoffs for the first time since 2011.
There are a lot of possibilities that could still happen, but there is a strong chance.
In fact, according to the Maxwell projections, Beach will make the playoffs as the No. 22 seed and play at the No. 11 seed Peach County. There are three teams, including Beach, trying to lock up the fourth spot in the region. The other two are Southeast Bulloch and Long County.
Beach head coach Michael Thompson is not paying attention to all the chatter. He wants his guys focused on Southeast Bulloch. On Wednesday, WSAV spoke with the team about what it would mean to make the playoffs.
