JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — WIC benefits will remain available for redemption in Missouri into November, according to a press release from the state.
WIC families are encouraged to continue attending appointments and redeeming benefits using their WIC cards until further notice, the release says.
Meanwhile, thousands of people are expected to be impacted from SNAP benefits being frozen starting on Saturday, Nov. 1. More information on local food pantries can be found here.
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is administered by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) and federally funded by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service through the federal budget.
