A Contra Costa County jury has determined that aggravating circumstances apply in the case of Nicholas Brandon Moseby, a former Danville middle school teacher previously convicted of sex crimes involving minors. Moseby, 41, of Concord, was found guilty on October 17, 2025, during the first phase of his bifurcated trial. His convictions include one felony count of lewd acts upon a child, one felony count of distributing or showing pornography to a minor, and three misdemeanor counts related to child molestation and sexual battery. Jurors were unable to reach a verdict on an additional felony lewd act charge, and Moseby was acquitted on a separate count of the same offense.
