SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. —
Former Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright will not face additional state charges, according to 10th Circuit Solicitor Micah Black.
The decision comes hours before Wright, Amos Durham and Lawson Watson are expected to plead guilty to federal charges at a hearing in Anderson on Thursday.

Wright was arraigned in federal court on Monday, where he was seen walking out of the courthouse and declined to answer any of our questions.
The former sheriff is also facing 65 ethics charges from the state ethics commission alleging the use of county funds for personal purchases and nepotism.
