It’s never easy to be in the hospital. And it’s even tougher for children.
That’s why Inland Empire law enforcement agencies take part year after year in the Cops for Kids Fly-In.
The 24th edition came Wednesday, Oct. 29, and again saw helicopters landing outside Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. Joining them was a sea of police motorcycles, squad cars and SWAT vehicles — all arriving to lift the spirits of young patients.
Children got the chance to get out of their rooms and sit inside vehicles and helicopters, meet K-9s and greet law officers, a news release states.
As a bonus, those in uniform also donated toys, books and other gifts to children and delivered them to their rooms.
