Approves key policy measures on education, labour, and governance reforms

The Meghalaya Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, on Wednesday approved the schedule for the preparation of electoral rolls for the conduct of elections to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC), slated to be held next year.

The approved schedule includes the publication of draft electoral rolls, the period for filing claims and objections, and the finalisation of the voter list.

Alongside the election-related decisions, the Cabinet also approved several significant policy measures across key sectors:
