The mother of a woman who died after her partner injected her with methamphetamine has told a court the man "played Russian Roulette with her life".

Ethan Lenny George Ross, 29, of Redwood Park, appeared in court on Thursday where he heard seven victim impact statements from the family of 26-year-old Amy Bowden.

Ms Bowden died at her home in Redwood Park, in Adelaide's north-east, in the early hours of February 8, 2024, from "mixed drug toxicity".

Ross previously pleaded guilty to administering methamphetamine to Ms Bowden on February 7, to reverse a self-inflicted heroin overdose.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years' imprisonment.
