CLEVELAND, Ohio — Joel Klatt unleashed a passionate, unfiltered critique of the College Football Playoff’s quarterfinal format during the latest episode of The Joel Klatt Show, making a compelling case for moving games from neutral bowl sites to college campuses.
After revealing his November playoff bracket projection, Klatt couldn’t contain his frustration with the current plan to host quarterfinal games at traditional bowl sites, delivering one of his most animated segments of the season.
“Put the quarterfinal games on campus. Put them on campus,” Klatt urged emphatically. “No one wants to see Ole Miss play Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl. I don’t want to see that. Nobody does. Nobody does. But do you want to see Miss go to Columbus? Yes.”
