There’s only one contested race in the Nov. 4 election in Emmet County.
Here’s what voters will see on the ballot:
Harbor Springs City Council
Five people are running for two available seats on the Harbor Springs City Council.
On the ballot, voters will be able to select two choices from Jeanne J. Benjamin, William C. Donohue, David Lamarche, Kathy Motschall and Nancy Rondel.
The candidates gave brief descriptions of themselves during a Q&A in September. Here’s what they said:
Jeanne Benjamin is a lifelong resident of Harbor Springs who previously served on the city council, Downtown Development Authority and Zoning Board of Appeals. She said she is running for council because she loves Harbor Springs, but the opposing sides within the city "doesn't sit well."
William (Bill) Donohue
