A five-year-old girl from Washington who mysteriously vanished in 2021 has been declared legally dead four years on.

The tragic development follows a police investigation into the parents of Oakley Carlson after her disappearance. Oakley was just five when she was reported missing from her home in Oakville, Washington, in December 2021, and despite extensive searches, police have never been able to locate her.

The heartbreaking decision to declare little Oakley legally deceased was made in Pacific County Superior Court after her remaining siblings filed a petition through their legal representatives, as reported by The Olympian.
