Boylan's boys soccer team was knocked out on Tuesday, bowing out in the sectional semifinals for the fourth straight year. And then on Wednesday it was Byron's turn to say farewell, bowing out with a sectional semi loss of its own.
And in less than 24 hours, the last two Rockford-area boys soccer teams were done.

Boylan (19-3-1) got a goal from Nate Johnson, his sixth this year, but that was all the Titans could muster in the 2-1 loss to Streamwood on Oct. 28 in the Class 2A Geneva Sectional semis.
