You might not have noticed, because maybe you’re watching the World Series instead, but the Maple Leafs are off to a rickety start.
They only have a couple more days of the Blue Jays offering cover. Then the focus will be squarely back on them (with apologies to the Raptors).
The month of October wasn’t nearly as good for the Leafs as it has been for the Jays. A 5-5-1 record , 4-5-1 against teams that missed the playoffs last season. Even John Tavares’s historic 500th goal went under the radar.
